Full Autism Assessment (CAMHS)

Service Description

ADOS-2 and ADI-r (3 hours total) for those aged 31 months - 18 years old. This service is also available partly in Portuguese (The ADOS for the child) Please contact us to book this in, as we will need to liaise with other professionals: Part 1: £1100 A face-to-face ADOS-2 assessment with be with us, The Cognitive Collective, in Cheltenham. This part takes 1 hour. Part 2: £1000 We will arrange for ADI-r assessment, which can be delivered online, to be done by Dr Hayley Van Zwanenberg. What to Expect from Your Autism Assessment: Our CAMHS autism assessment is a two-part process designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of autism-related traits and experiences. ADOS-2: The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a structured, interactive assessment conducted in a one-on-one setting with a trained clinician. This session involves a series of structured tasks, discussions, and prompts designed to assess social communication, interaction, and behavioral patterns. The ADOS-2 is not a traditional test with right or wrong answers—it is an observational tool that helps us understand your natural responses in different social scenarios. We adapt the session to your communication style and comfort level, ensuring a relaxed and supportive environment. ADI-r: The Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) is a structured interview conducted with someone who has known your child well since early childhood (e.g., a parent, caregiver or teacher). The interview explores developmental history, communication patterns, and social experiences from childhood to adulthood. This allows us to gain a detailed understanding of how your child's experiences align with autism criteria. Each assessment is conducted on separate days to allow time for processing and reflection. ​ Please note: A full screening or referral is needed in order for us to do an assessment as per NICE guidelines. You can access a screening through us for £100, another company or your GP. Referrals from GPs, psychologists and psychiatrists are accepted - we need the professional to email us the referral on info@thecognitivecollective.co.uk with a completed AQ10 and an outline of your traits. Payment plans are available for Part 1 through Payitmonthly - up to 12 monthly payments, 0% interest. Please contact us to book in manually.
