Service Description

Screening for those aged 31 months - Adult. This service is also available in Portuguese. ​​ An initial Screening Assessment ahead of a full assessment to run through some screening tools. This will add information to your overall diagnostic report and stop paying for a full assessment if it's not what you need. What is Autism Screening? An autism screening is a preliminary assessment designed to determine whether further evaluation for autism may be beneficial. Our goal is to provide clarity and guidance on potential next steps. ​ What to Expect from Your Screening Session: Your screening session will last approximately one hour and will be conducted by one of our trained clinicians in a relaxed and supportive setting. The session typically includes: - A discussion about your (or your child’s) developmental history, strengths, and challenges. - A series of structured questions or tasks that help us observe key behaviors related to communication, social interaction, and sensory experiences. - A chance for you to share any specific concerns or observations. - We approach each screening with care and sensitivity, ensuring that we listen to your experiences and provide thoughtful feedback. ​ At the end of the session, our clinician will provide an overview of their observations and discuss the next steps. ​ Need More Information? Please note: A full screening or referral is needed in order for us to do an assessment as per NICE guidelines. You can access a screening through us for £100, another company or your GP. Referrals from GPs, psychologist and psychiatrists are accepted - we need the professional to email us the referral on info@thecognitivecollective.co.uk with a completed AQ10 and an outline of your traits.
